Heather A. Meller, RN, MSN, CNS, CPNP, ANP

ANA Heather Advanced Practice NurseHeather A. Meller has been working as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the field of neuroscience for almost 20 years. She joined Advanced Neurosurgery Associates (ANA) in 2006, bringing several years of experience in Neurosurgery, Neuro-oncology and Neurology.

 

Her clinical interests include epilepsy, hydrocephalus, brain tumors and family perspective in chronic illness.

 

Previously, Meller was an Advanced Practice Nurse at Hackensack University Medical Center Pediatric Neuroscience Institute and Beth Israel Medical Center’s Institute for Neurology and Neurosurgery. As a Registered Nurse at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, she developed a Neuro-oncology Certification course for the staff nurses. She also served as a Clinical Associate for Brown University, New York University, Hunter College, and Rutgers University.

 

Heather Meller received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Rutgers University and her Masters of Nursing and Post-Masters Certification from Columbia University. There, she was a Pediatric Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist and Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Meller received her Adult Nurse Practitioner Certification from Felician College. Currently, she is a student in the Doctorate of Nursing Practice Program at Rutgers University. She is a member of the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses and Sigma Theta Tau.

 

Heather Meller is married with two daughters who love soccer. One of her hobbies is running; she completed the New York City Marathon in 1997.
