Advanced Neurosurgery Associates (ANA) is proud to announce that Mailyn Gonzalez, PA-C has been recognized as a Leading Physician of the World and a Top Physician Assistant in Neurosurgery in Rutherford, New Jersey by The Leading Physicians of the World. This qualifies her for inclusion in the 2017 edition of The Leading Physicians of the World. This inclusion is limited to those individuals who have demonstrated leadership and achievement in the field of physician assistance.
Gonzalez, PA-C (Certified Physician Assistant), the first Physician Assistant to join the ANA team, graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in 2012.
Fluent in Spanish, she fulfills a vital role at ANA. Under the supervision of a neurosurgeon, PAs in neurosurgery play an integral role in the global management of neurosurgery patients, including all aspects of pre-, intra- and post-operative care. Gonzalez performs patient histories, helps with treatment plans and serves as first assistant in surgery, which entails assisting with all neurosurgical procedures. She also manages post-operative care and handles a myriad of office-related duties. In addition, she uses her experience to teach physician assistant students and prospective students.
