Spinal Stenosis & Lower Back Pain with Dr. Vivek Ramakrishnan

Dr. Vivek Ramakrishnan, the renowned spine surgeon representing Advanced Neurosurgery Associates (ANA), hosted a physician lecture on the evening of November 13th, 2019, in New Brunswick, NJ. This lecture was part of an ongoing physician educational series sponsored by Advanced Neurosurgery Associates. 

The lecture, presented by Dr. Ramakrishnan, Spinal Stenosis and Lower Back Pain saw over forty-five doctors, neurosurgeons, and nurses from three major hospitals in attendance, including many from the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Saint Peter’s University Hospital, and Morristown Medical Center. 

Physicians at Advanced Neurosurgery Associates boast decades of experience in spine surgery in addition to cranial surgery. Neurosurgery is a small specialty, constituting only 0.5% of all physicians. Dr. Ramakrishnan successfully trained in both neurosurgery and orthopedic spine surgery, his vast experience in treating spinal stenosis made for a comprehensive presentation of the topic which engaged his colleagues in further discussion and study of the condition well into the evening.

Dr. Ramakrishnan and his colleagues at Advanced Neurosurgery Associates specialize in both pediatric and adult neurosurgery. Dr. Ramakrishnan has completed a fellowship in complex and minimally invasive spine surgery at the University of California, which nationally ranks in the top ten percent, as well as an additional fellowship in cranial spinal trauma. He is board-certified and has training in both neurosurgery and orthopedic spine surgery.
