Theresa Gabay has been with the Advanced Neurosurgery Associates (ANA) group since 2003, and works within the Pediatric Neurosurgery department. She has several degrees and certifications, and received her Masters in Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner) degree in 2001. Since then, Gabay has lectured at over 20 events nationwide, and acted as Program Coordinator for many conferences and events. Gabay is a published author who has also reviewed additional medical texts chapters.

 

Previously, Gabay was an Advanced Practice Nurse for The Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center where her focus was on pediatric and adult neurosurgery patients.

 

Gabay is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) through the American Nurses’ Credentialing Center; Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (CNRN) through the American Board of Neuroscience Nurses; and a member of the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses (AANN), national and local chapter, Greater New York Chapter. She is also a member of the American Nurses Association (ANA) and New Jersey State Nurses Association (NJSNA).

 

Gabay is a conference coordinator at Hackensack University’s Medical Center Pediatric Neurosurgical Conference (most recently for 2013), member of the APN Council at Hackensack University Medical Center and Team leader for APN Review Panel as part of the new Peer Review Process for APN practice (2011 & 2012). Gabay serves as the preceptor for Advanced Practice Nurse students for Rutgers University, UMDNJ, and Seton Hall University.

 

Theresa Gabay is the lead author of a “Neurovascular Disease” chapter and a “Transition from Pediatric to Adult Care” chapter in Nursing Care of the Pediatric Neurosurgery Patient, 2nd Edition (2013).
